The McMaster-Carr unit is out of my price range. What about cleaning solutions? I've seen a mixture of Simple Green and water recommended.

I have a tabletop ultrasonic cleaner that I use for carburetors and
similar size pieces. I find it does a pretty good job, which becomes
evident when you see how funky the cleaning solution becomes after a
while of work. The one I have will easily accommodate a Corvair oil
cooler. I've used a 25% solution of Spray-9 cleaner-degreaser and water
with good results, and Simple Green ($$) seems to work ok but no better
than Spray-9 (Walmart has it) which works really well on most anything
whether it's oily or greasy or just plain grimey-dirty.
