Hi John,
Thanks for all your great work! I really appreciate keeping the email list as the main avenue of communication. I have nothing against Facebook and am a member of it, but I think it would be a tragic mistake to rely on members seeing the 69 Group news there by chance. Facebook is a great tool but I don't have the time or desire to spend time there, let alone keep checking the 69 Group page for news. Some people have lives off Facebook. If I happen to hear of an interesting 69 photo that's been posted there, I might go look at it. But other than that I don't have any reason at all to go there. Thanks again for all your accomplishments in reviving the '69 Group!
Dave

Greetings All,

Well it's official. We now have a new group checking account! Ed Thompson passed the torch [and a treasury balance of $250.] and we are up and ready to roll.

Soon I will be linking my Paypal account to the club's bank account so you will be able to pay your yearly dues online if you prefer. I'll keep you posted on this but will surely be in place by January 1st. I'll also post my mailing address to the end of this e-mail for those who prefer the tried and true method of the USPS.

I know I speak for all the group officers when I say that it's been encouraging lately to say the least. The popularity of the Facebook page far exceeded my/our expectations and your offers to help keep the group alive are heartwarming.

While on the subject of Facebook, lets not forget the corvair.org address to bring questions, comments and concerns to the group members. Facebook is alot of fun and the posting of the pics is amazing and a highlight of my week but we must remember that not all group members are members of Facebook so owe it to those members to keep the main communication point to this arena, 1969 at corvair.org

With an initial treasury balance of $250 and upcoming dues collections in January of which we have decided will remain at the previous $5 per year until further notice we are in good shape. I want to thank all those that offered monetary contributions. Your offers did not go unnoticed but at this point are not necessary.

Thanks again!
