[1969] Ken Maxwell for President

I'd support the Ken as Prez. idea. But, remember what Ed said , he didn't want to be treasure and look at how that turned out. Ed stepped up and few were there for support. This has to be a team effort. You have to want to do it. For this to survive and prosper, members have to VOLUNTEER with no pressure. Then give them the support they need. Seems so simple, but sometimes it doesn't work that way. The Corsa board is in a similar case. The board is thinking of going to 4 or 6 Communique's a year. Corsa is running out of money next year and the major reason is members worth find new members. Corsa this past year lost 369 members and that comes to a loss of $16,605.00 each year from NOW ON. That a loss of $49,815.00 for the next 3 years and that is just from that small loss. If each member would get 1 new member every third year, There would be no problem. My 2 cents worth. I'd like to nominate you as President, Ken. You're a great organizer and I think you've already started to get us on the right track. You have a a lot of experience with Corvair history and I think you'd have an excellent perception of what's important to the '69 cause. I hope you go for it!
