[1969] Correct Stock Part Identification

Actually, there is a correct lighter, according to the GM engineers. It's known as the "blade" style lighter, and consists of a flat bar of metal, threaded onto the element stud via the skinny side of the piece. Thus you would have a handle that you could grab when you had to dig it out of the center stack padding hole. Clark's listing for a '67-9 lighter is actually a '67 one year only design. They have nothing that even resembles the correct blade lighter.
My '69 had one, and I've seen others with the part. But as the one guy points out. sometimes the factory violated the engineer's specs just to get the car out the door.
