FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE-York, PA A total of one hundred forty-five entries have entered the
Third Annual York US 30 Musclecar Madness show to be presented at the York Expo Center, York Fairgrounds,
on July 9-10, 2004.
Legendary race cars that have entered the show include the "Jungle Jim" Liberman Pro Stock Vega, the '48 Austin
of Jim Oddy, the '48 Anglia of "Coney Island Ralph" Landolfi, the "Winged Express" the World's Most Famous
AA fuel altered of Marcellus & Borsch, the Stoltz & Velasquez '40 Willys, the '32 Bantam Roadster the "Jersey
Jimmy" of Charlie Seabrook, a group of Don Yenko Chevelles, Camaros, and Novas, Bill Jenkins' '74 Vega,
Malcolm Durham's "Strip Blazer", Judy Lilly's '77 Plymouth Volare, Ronnie Sox's '73 Pro Stock Duster,
Ron Bizio's '33 Willys Supercharged Gasser, Don Nicholson"s '64 A/FX Comet Wagon, the "King Kong"
Anglia, Booth & Aarons '69 Camaro, the "Black Magic" funny car formerly campaigned by Al Segrini
plus a list that goes on.
Personalities from the '60's and '70's will abound during the show. The outside CRUISIN'' INTO SUMMER
cruise in is expected to have in excess of six hundred entries from all over the East along with the Fun and
Judged Show of the York County Corvette Club. A DJ will be performaing both days of the show,
door prizes will be awarded every hour, and early bird cruise in entries on Friday will be treated to a
cruise in to the Gettyburg Bike Week with the cars being placed on display in the Gettysburg square and
awards presented.
An action packed two days of activities are planned with the addition of a Miss York US 30 Beauty Pageant
that will be presented with preliminaries on Friday and the finals on Saturday.
Additional Legends have confirmed for the show which includes Joe Jacono, Jim & Alison Lee, Tom Sneden,
Jim Oddy, Harry Luzader, Charlie Seabrook, Ken Montgomery, George Cureton, Bud Faubel, Ed Miller,
along with Hayden Proffitt and Judy Lilly to be added to the list announced earlier.
The event will include a special Benefit Auction for the York County SPCA the charity of choice for the
show. Many items of memorabilia, racing art, and other racing and muscle car related items will be
auctioned by two of the York area's finest auctioneers, late Saturday afternoon. Proceeds from special
50-50 drawings will be donated to the SPCA along with funds collected during the voting for the "People's
Choice" award.
A special two day discount ticket will be available and children under 12 are admitted free when accompanied
by an adult. Parking for the show is free. Show hours are Friday, July 9th 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Saturday,
July 10th 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.
Action continues on Sunday, July 11th at Beaver Springs Dragway with the presentation of the York US 30
Nostalgia Super Stock Nationals. The drag race will feature nostalgia super stock and nostalgia gas.
