Harry can correct me if I'm wrong, but CORSA insurance does automatically cover chapter meetings and in fact, any club related meeting of two or more club officers. So that benefit is always there. You do have to inform Harry (and complete a form?) if you're having a special event, like a car show or autocross.

My comments were actually the concensus of the club. As President my job
is to speak for the majority and the majority says no mandatory
membership. Also regarding your comments about insurance that is only in
affect if you contact Corsa and ask them for coverage for moving events
I believe. You are not automatically covered for meetings etc. and I
imagine the more claims for coverage that go to Corsa more $ Corsa will
be paying out. We have one made one request In the last 3-4 years.
