Thanks for including me on the convention comments it helps me to be able to
assist you with things like the concours. I'm a strong believer that there
is no such thing as can't, there is a high probablity that it might not
work but don't start off by telling me it can't be done.
In the past it has taken hours some running into the next day to complete.
Each judging steet is tallied four times and if there is a problem the
concours chair works to fix the problem. then there are the awards that
have to be made after you know who won and it is not a first a cocond and a
third . I can be two or three firsts etc because it is based on point not
which won was the best. At Jacksonvilles convention we made the last awards
while the first ones were being presented.
This is to give you some idea as to the time and staffing needed. I'm not
saying it can't be done, I'm saying it is going to be a challenge that I
think we can do it with some creative ideas. I'm not personally in favor of
the Saturday Concours but if the convention committee wants to hold it on
Saturday, I'll do all I can to help you make it work, I think challenges
are good and can be fun.
