CORSA 2012: Economy Run and more

I have never run a CORSA convention econo run, but if the rules allow it as for
driving technique, I would think that an econo run combined with a rallye would
not work because the techniques used to extract max mileage would be counter to
those in driving a rallye.

I don't want to add fuel to the fire, but, I fail to see why a rally & econo run
couldn't be run over the same course.
Unless things have changed a lot, isn't the hard work laying out the route?
I guess I must be missing something?

Jason, stop listening to the tiny handful of people for whom the sun
rises and sets on the concours and listen instead to people like the
102 Corvair owners who came to the Clark's show on a SATURDAY last year.
The Saturday concours will attract more new participants than it will turn off.
Stop catering to small focus groups like those who like an econo
run. They'll have one this year in Denver and if they step up to run
a future convention they can schedule what they like. I'd rather
"alienate" the tired old thinkers and attract new blood. I'd rather
change it up, make it fresh, and -- most importantly to me -- make
it different from year-to-year.
The more this convention morphs toward being just another same-ol
CORSA convention, the less interest I have.
