Bob,
Nicely put. You only get one chance to make a first impression on people who visit the site to see what Corsa is about.

I understand that one must be a CORSA member to register.  It is
well-known by this time that I think this is a self-defeating policy,
but I understand that it is the policy in place.

But, speaking of self-defeatng, if you have to be a member AND logged in
before the convention registration link appears, we are making it far
harder for POTENTIAL NEW MEMBERS to find convention information and
perhaps be inspired to join.

As it stands, the convention, arguably the centerpiece event of CORSA's
year and the sole event that CORSA so doggedly restricts only to
members, is largely hidden on the CORSA site.  There appear plain text
links on the screen on the left-hand side, which appear only because I
asked the web master to put them there a few months ago.  That's it.
The results of the 2011 convention are easier to find than links to the
2012 convention.

The convention should be SPLASHED on the CORSA home page.  There should
be vivid colors, large text, engaging graphics, and "salesmanship" in
the form of "join now to enjoy our 2012 convention!"

These days, CORSA sets the standard for cluelessness.
