Hi all.  I have a feeling the weather is not going to be as bad as indicated.  For those who are not used to driving in bad weather should stay home.   Driving on snowy and slick roads can be tricky even for us guys who learned to drive in such weather.  I plan to be there.

JC - Cecil : A question has come up from several members concerning an
alternate date for the upcoming CORSA/NC Quarterly Meeting scheduled for this
coming Sunday 30 Jan 2005 in Fayetteville. In light of the weekend forecasted
weather, and if it gets real Nasty and traveling becomes hazardous to our
health, is there an alternate date set?

I could not remember discussing an alternate date at the last meeting, I just
talked to Lee in Fayetteville and he knew nothing of an alternate date, and
reminded me this is a catered event and the latest time to put a STOP on
cooking all the food is 12 noon Saturday, otherwise its a GO? Rain, Snow or
Shine! I guess what I am saying is we need people out in the Central and
western areas of the state (JC, Cecil, Bruce & AL ) to listen to the
forecasters, talk it over last Friday night or Early Saturday morning and JC
or Cecil make the call on a GO or NO GO to Lee by No later than Noon Saturday
29 Jan so he can call the caterer. From what I just heard few minutes ago
tonight on Chnl 5, its most likely going to be "something" coming into the
state late Saturday or early Sunday in the form of Snow, sleet or freezing
rain; or a mix of all and probable a RAIN event for the eastern half of the
state.

Important - Last call! if you haven't already done it - pick up the phone
and do it! NOW! - Call Lee - Tomorrow (Thursday) is the deadline for getting
your name in the caterer' pot so you won't have to sit around and watch the
rest of us eat while drool'ing on your new shirt or blouse.

JC-Cecil - FYI - in case we have to go to an Alternate date; remember the next
weekend (6 Feb) is "Super Bowl Sunday" and that would also be "hazardous to
our health" --- to miss. (all football fans "smile") (<:$ // wives )<:$$
