CORSA/NC Members,
   Below is an email I recieved from David Robertson of CVCC. 
 
 
Hi, I wanted to invite all CORSA/NC to the annual get-together at Paul and
Tina Whelan's farm in DeWitt, Virginia on Saturday September 24th .  Since I
am late getting our newsletter out (as usual!) and you couldn't get it in
Vair Heels, I thjought you could send an e-mail out to your members.   
This will the 15th annual Fall Hoedown at the farm.  Early arrivals are
welcome Friday afternoon if they want to set up camp.  Many participants
camp Friday and Saturday night, some people just come for the day on
Saturday.  The Whelans belong to both the Tidewater Corvair Club and the
Central VA Corvair Club, so both clubs are well-represented, but all CORSA
members and their friends and relatives are welcome.
Events include lots of food, an autocross in the field ( we plan to have a
beater car available for those who don't want to drive their good car in the
dirt or mud), a blindman's autocross, a hayride, and a bonfire.  This is an
informal, free event, but bring something to cook on the grill for yourself
and maybe a side dish to share.  
Directions: I-85 North into VA, past South Hill, but not as far as Dinwiddie
take Exit 48 (DeWitt)
turn left onto Route 656
go about 3/4 of a mile and turn left onto Route 709 (Shippings Road)
go 3 miles, cross the only bridge that is over a creek
look for a black mailbox with the number '20220' on it, this is the entrance
turn right onto this first red dirt driveway past the bridge
continue up driveway through the woods 3/4 of amile to house.
