[FC] What's Up!

Roughly speaking, all Corvair restorations are money losing
propositions but that's really true for most collector cars anyway.
That said, most parts are inexpensive, the only high dollar FC items
that come to mind are a few trim parts (NOS rear reflectors are big
bucks) so you lose a lot less money with a Corvair than a Corvette.
Ours is a nice looking driver and has been quite reasonable (we have
about $6k in it total). There is little if any premium for an 8 door
over any other GB, the market is just too small. The two big Corvair
vendors are Clark's Corvair Parts and Corvair Underground, but there
are quite a few small and specialty vendors as well. Surf over to
http://www.corvair.org and click on vendors or see the classifieds
there to get an idea of who's out there. Good luck!
