    If you do not use your brakes properly in any mountain area they will 
overheat and fade. It will not make one bit of difference if you have 4 master 
cylinders. 
    #1 the brake shoes need to be better than 50% there, not just about worn 
out to the backings.
    #2 Learn how to drive, 99% of all people will drag their brakes. Use them 
hard and then release fully.
    Also on the above situation, not knowing the details, if they had brake 
fade then silicone fluid would not have helped, if the pedal went all the way 
to the floor then the fluid boiled and silicone would have helped then but also 
if the brake fluid had been bled and/or fresh fluid it probably wouldn't have 
boiled.
    I use dot 3 brake fluid in my race car with 4 wheel drum brakes and the 
fluid hasn't boiled yet!
