[FC] Spyder Tach Troubles

Paul, it has been my experience that a common fail mode for spyder
tach's is not reading above 2K. I generally check them, hand held back at
the engine compartment using jumper wires to hook them up with. Oil
pressure/temp idiot lights can be tested by grounding the lead at the oil
pressure switch. Wiring may be defective at other end if you get no
indication at the light.

the tach won't read above about 2k rpm. I thought it might be a bad tach so
I changed it out with another. It did the same thing. I also can't get the
temp gauge to work as well as the idiot lights. I'm thinking bad ground. The
dash has a good ground. Should I be looking at the engine ground? Any other
ideas?
