[FC] oil fill

Clark is right on there "Plumbob"... by installing a couple of struts
typically used on the back hatch of a minivan, the engine compartment lid
would be quite easy to lift. Add some method of latching it securely in the
down position would be a pretty darn good safety feature. Can you imagine it
popping up the next time you bounce over a set of tracks? Or, in Salmon Arm,
just driving across the Trans-Canada Hiway and bobbling across the ruts
pounded in by nealry 4 million cars and trucks a year. Anyway, fasten the
damn thing down!
Has anyone tried fabricating a small access panel right in the big panel?
For checking oil level, I plan to install a Lokar flexible dipstick to make
it real easy to access via the trap door. I think some RV places might have
oil filler tube extensions that could also make access possible from the
trap door.
