[FC] Lubing an NOS Throwout Bearing?

Try using an old pan to melt grease in and dip the bearing in it. You may
want to leave the bearing in it a while to heat up the old grease. I don't
know how well this will work with a throwout bearing but we used to grease
our motorcycle chains that way back in the days before o-ring chains. Joel

Subject: [FC] Lubing an NOS Throwout Bearing?

Hey everyone:

Thanks to a fellow listmember, I have located a true 1 7/8 inch early
throwhout bearing.

It is NOS and I am wondering if there is a way to add grease to it. The
grease that is in it now is around 40 years old an I don't know how well it
will hold up when put to use for the first time.
