[FC] FC Stuck Accelerator

I just replaced my accelerator pedal on my  '62 Rampside. I inadvertantly pushed the mounting rod to the floorboard, when I tried to install the pedal. When I tried to drive the pedal stayed stuck to within an inch of the floor..... my belt stayed on though :O). 
I took  the accel assembly apart from underneath. Then I replaced the retaining pins and retainer ring, and lubed all contact areas. I also pulled the accel. cable sheath and lubed that.  It still gets stuck!! Any Ideas?
