[FC] Clutch Problems with 4 Speed Conversion part II

when i did a 4spd conversion i reinforced the floor around the shifter with a 
piece of steel plate. the clutch problem sounds like the wrong throwout 
bearing/clutch pressure plate combo. if you have the late flywheel/pressure plate 
and early throwout bearing there is no way to cheat that i am aware of...take 
it apart again. put the thumper stopper back on. i just had to take a 65 van 
back apart because of defective disk i overlooked so i feel your pain. you have 
no idea how fast i am at that job when i am po'd.
