[FC] Clutch Problems in my FC (part III)

Guess I'll throw in my two cents worth about the clutch problems. I had the
same problem with my '65 deluxe 'Brier 8-dr. I found that the floor bracket
under the floorboards that holds the cable was bad and when depressing the
pedal, the floor would move and in turn, the cable would move. This means
that the motion that should be transmitted to the clutch was used up trying
to move the floor and cable and consequently not enough movement to the
clutch mechanism. I got under the 'Brier and re-enforced the bracket and
floorboard and have had no trouble since. Hope this helps a little bit.
Just make sure all supports to the cable and mounting areas are good and
don't flex when you have someone depress the clutch pedal.
