IMHO, if you are going for the original look, or the 'shoulda been on the 
original' look, I'd splice two tail lights together so that everything would 
match perfectly and make one rectangular tail light. Maybe splice two 
remaining pointy ends together and mount it as a center stop light.
If you are into mild customizing, I'd like to see Corvette tail lights on 
the back, especially the late 90's!!!
