[FC] Boomerang revisited

What I did was put the mount bracket in the vise, then try to move the arm 
in all directions to check for movement. Only direction it would move was 
the direction it is supposed to move. I then put the stub of the outer pivot 
in the vise, tried moving it to check for any play. The one that "looked" 
good had no play, the other two slopped a little in the socket. Best I can 
tell you.

I can't speak from experience, but I have been told that the only way to 
tell if a used one is good is to put it on the car and "feel" for worn 
parts.  I don't believe that the cover can be tapped, since it is made of 
thin material.  If that were a possibility, then they probably would have 
been that way from the factory.   Paul in CT........

  outboard pivot is tight, but appears dry. Has anyone had any experience

  drilling and tapping the cover of this and putting in a small grease
  fitting. I think it would be a good one if it had grease. The other two
  appear tight on the center pivot, but the outboard pivot is loose.
