I'm looking on using a Corvair transaxle to a 250HP motor. Will the "so
called " Muncy Rockcrusher Corvair transaxle handle the load? What
other trans axel be used to handle the HP if a Corvair would not work?

Tom,
The better transmission to use with this motor is the 66-69 known as the
Saginaw. It has the same innards as the V8 boxes used in other GM cars of that
era. The Saginaw also uses a different input shaft so be sure to get it with
the transmission. You should also install the four spider gear carrier in
the differential.
