The engine cover was fitted with a piano hinge ala previous owner. I'm going to put in interior heavy duty cabinet hinges that will push out and up as the cover opens; and a keyed latch and a support rod on each side to hold it open. I could go crazy and get the electric openers, but I want to keep inside of my budget of $1500 for the whole vehicle.
