[FC] speed and power, or power and speed

As I'm getting out on the road with my project '61 rampy 4speed 110hp, I 
found this out; it shifts and accelerates OK (not as much power as the 110hp 
w/powerglide in the 'brier, though), but when at highway speed in fourth, when I 
floor it, the motor cuts out (but doesn't stall). I've rebuilt the carbs and 
replaced the fuel filters. Is this a sign of a bad fuel pump? It still has 
mechanical, the 'brier has electric.
