i wonder if the gas tanl sealer would work without causing sticking? of 
course i have always been blessed with plenty of parts carbs so not an issue here. 
i vote for replacement at any cost of time / money ,             and carry a 
fire extinguisher with you in the vehicle.
i am in central ny area preparing to move and at the same time slim down my 
collection of "stuff"  from all the years of saving..
