Sounds as if the entire system is new. This would be the perfect time to
consider going to DOT5 fluid.

Subject: [FC] brakes update

Thanks to everyone for their inputs on my recent brake questions. After
talking to several mechanics, I was told that they normally just toss
the wave washer, this makes it easier to get the clip on, I decided to
try it and see what happens. The only purpose that it serves is to take
up tolerance between the arm and web of the shoe. I managed to find
some time on Sunday and got the rear brakes installed on the rampy. Now
I just need to get the front brakes on, bleed the system (all new
lines), and lube the front e-brake cable.

Anybody have any words of wisdom on lubing the front cable? Best way to
clean and lube, etc..

Keith Hammett
