[FC] FC wheels and tires

Hiya Andrew!

You could go with standard 15" Chevy rims from the 60s, 70s and 80s... not
sure about anything newer ... but I would stick with narrower rather than
wider.... it looks more correct and handling is less affected than going
wide.... make sure to keep the same backset if you use 6" wide rims.... if
you go to 7" wide rims, add 1/2" to the backset to keep the centre of mass
of the wheel closer to the original configuration... if the centre of mass
of the wheel moves out or in, it will change handling characteristics...
usually for the worse... CorvairKid has more info on alternative wheels....
same principles apply to FC.
To fill the wheel wells better means to me that you want larger diameter
wheels/tires, which will change your effective differential ratio and your
speedometer. If you very rarely carry much weight in the FC, then it is
probably not much of an issue.
Good Luck
toodles
