[FC] Gas tank removal

The gas tank is easy to remove in an FC.  No need to take out the crossmember.  All you need to do is disconnect the hoses (vent, filler, and supply), undo the ground strap and from the driver side undo the sender wire from its tab (you will see it towards the front of the wheel well in front of the vent and filler hoses).  Then taking your time undo the two straps.  Be careful my bolts broke (not a problem for me since the new Stainless Tank also received Stainless straps).  The tank will drop out towards the back, lower back side then pull towards back until the front clears the crossmember.
While you have it out you might consider putting in a new sender.  I found a universal one that will work at Don's Sport Shop
