[FC] Rear glass and windshield installation-- a reeeeal pain!

Today was glass day at the shop. I decided to install the rear glass and
windshield into the Rampside. What an ordeal. I think I'd rather have root
canal than do that again! I used the Clarks seals. The windshield has the
deluxe chrome (stainless insert) and the rear glass has the Chrome lock
strip.

The windshield went in OK but it doesn't seem to sit into the opening as far
back as it should-- it kind of looks like it should sit "flatter". I know
some say the one piece rubber offered by Clarks is sometimes too big. Is
this what any of you have experienced with a windshield rubber that is too
big (long)? I can push the windshield down and make it sit flat, it just
doesn't stay there. Kind of seems like the rubber being to big could cause
this to me.

The rear glass was just the opposite. It was such a pain! It fit sooooo
tight that it was almost impossible to string it in without damage to the
rubber lip on the inside of the cab (even using massive amounts of soapy
water). Is this normal? I installed a rear glass in a '41 Chevy today too
and it was a piece of cake compared to this job with the Rampside.

I have installed a lot of glass thought the years that gets "string-ed" in;
and this job.... it ranks up there with one of the worst I've ever
encountered!

Is it just me?
