True... so long as no one has tampered with the VIN plate.  Only way to know 
that for sure is to seek out the "secret" VIN - individually stamped numbers 
on the bottom of the frame rail near the boomerang.  It will be the last 6 
(maybe 8?) digits of the original VIN.  If that matches the VIN plate - good 
to go.  If not, hmmmm?
