[FC] BB gas heater tested

By some strange reason my previous message went out with the subject line only.

Two years ago I bought a "complete" FC gas heater (for the Bluebrier) which was missing the distributor box and it's related hardware and harness. Four months ago, Lee Cramp found a good one at the Corvair Ranch and I got it from Jeff. Did the assembly and all checkings per the book and... finally tested it (on the bench). It worked real fine !!, at least for me, as it was my very first encounter with a working gas heater.

Next step will be making the exhaust pipe ( any idea on it's length ? ) and the control cables, using the direct air heater control.
On my testing, the electric fuel pump used showed 5 psi but, on the BB, it's fuel pump (electric) works at 7 psi (regulated to 3 psi for the carbs). Can I use another pressure regulator to get the 5.5 psi the book says ? or... is it mandatory to get and use the original pressure regulator (Tee shaped) ?

A curious note: I used to test my vairs' ignition coils with the engine running, measuring the voltage at a plug wire end, and, a good one reads 15-16 Kv. At checking the heater coil (combustion fan on) it measured 20Kv. Was it for measuring directly from the coil ? or... is it a different coil ?

Want to say thanks! to Lee and Jeff for their valuable help and wise advise.

Guess what ?... BB said: " After the gas heater I want AC too " so... any leads on getting an Eurovan AC hardware and ducting for the lady ?
