Ken,

The "easy" way - after "mashing" Reply All - is to go up to the TO: line and 
right click.  You can then selectively delete extra addys.  If there are any 
addys on the CC: line, you can do the same thing there.

I suggest that "private" responses tend to defeat the purpose of an open 
forum.

I also agree that it becomes annoying to see the same message multiple times 
in different venues.
