I spoke to the owner a number of years ago, and he said that it was the only one bult. I asked what kept it from buckling in the middle, and was told that it had steel beams under the body. I am not certain that it is a factory built vehicle, but I have no reason to doubt his honesty. It very well may have been done by a previous owner more years ago, than anyone could remember. I would check it over carefully for deviations from what would have been practiced by Chevrolet back then. If it truly has a I beam in the floor area, I doubt that Chevrolet would have done a unit like this. Also, check the ramp quarter panel area for signs of modifications. I could be way off base on this, so take my thoughts for what they are... One persons opinion, based on a telephone conversation from long ago. Possibly Dave Newell can shed some light on the subject.
