[FC] Corvanatics Digest, Vol 134, Issue 4

This morning, Saturday, I got out there and while before everything else worked, just not the ignition. So I went under the dash armed with directions on adjusting the cut off other than neutral and now the battery is totally dead so no progress. I just dropped it at Kragen to test. Maybe if I am lucky, it was the battery all along. I will know later today after Kragen test.

Been driving the van around fairly regularly for the past few months. Today I took it on a bit of a bumpy dirt road and the horn relay started banging on the e-brake handle and finally shorted out and fried the power wire all the way back to the harness!
>
> I stopped (the van stalled due to the direct short) and pulled what was left of the relay out and carefully separated the wires. When I got to my friends place I taped up the burned power wire up and checked the rest of the system. Eventually I'll have to go back in there and do some re-wiring.

> The relay is attached w/ a plastic piece originally. In AZ that stuff dries out pretty good. So y'all might check and make sure the horn relay isn't bouncing around under the dash just in case.

Looking in the manual, I found a 15 amp fuse blown. I put in a new fuse and it blew it again. Remembering the rheostat light switch, I turned it back counter clockwise. A new fuse again and this time it did not blow. SO, is the light switch bad? I can drive with tail lights and low dash lights but I can replace it also if I can find one.

I checked it was in NEUTRAL. I tried to start in NEUTRAL and all other gears (there are only R, D and L). Still nothing. I remember there is a safety cut off somewhere so you can't crank outside of NEUTRAL. Now what do I need to replace and where do I get one?
