[FC] Corvanatics Digest, Vol 149, Issue 2

If you can weld or know a good welder.  Cut the shafts off an old regulator
and weld them on to the ends of the good regulator to extend the shaft.
Requires neatness in cutting and welding but it works great and solves this
problem.
