[NoVa-Corvairs] Checking out a car in LA

Actually, I think I may pass on the car in LA. Bidding
ends tonight and I'm loath to purchase a car sight
unseen.

This semester I took what is recognized as the most
demanding course offered by the school. Next semester
should be a little easier, since I only have to take 9
credits. Then again, I also need to find a job. Does
anyone have any connections with local law firms? No,
really: does anyone have any connections with local law
firms? I hope I'm not being too subtle!

A guy by my house offered to sell me a '68 Corvette,
327, 4 speed, t-tops -- no price, but fairly cheap (the
interor could stand some work, and #'s don't match).
Big problem though: it leaks like a seive. I sat in
the drivers seat while the owner shot a garden hose at
the car -- I was drenched! There's also a leak on the
passenger side into the footwell. If the floors are
shot, that's one thing; if the frame is ruined I
couldn't buy the car in good conscience. Does anyone
have any expertise with early C4 'Vettes?

Who am I kidding? I already have to many "projects"
and too little time. Still, I'd like to have a look:
a '68 Vette would be awesome. (So would a running
Corvair.)
