Got your note about missing each other in Portland.  Thank you for taking
time to send the note.

I can't figure out why we never bumped into one another after Wednesday. 
I had no car and stayed at the host hotel so I was there all day every
day.  Making the assumption that you too were staying at the host hotel I
tried to call your room and there was someone registered under Birks but
the woman who answered said it was not you.  She was from a club in
Washington.  I thought that you, I and Ron (the photographer) could sit
at the same banquet table.

I too meet some Corvair people who came by train.  Most of them were
people I knew from Chicago when I was a member there back in the 70's.

My brother lives in a suburb of Portland, Scappoose.  So I spent a week
with him before the convention.  

Anyway we will have to plan better next time.
