You maybe able to repair it.  If the broken spot is not in the sheath you
can buy a brass coupler with set screws to connect the two ends.  These
can usually be found in the "HELP" brand section of your auto parts
store.

Would the Corvair Ranch have a good, used one?  They do mail order.
