[NoVa-Corvairs] Aluminum Pulleys and Wear

While I was at the Vair Fair I talked to Russell Davis who does custom
machine work and among his clients is Clark's.  He said that he switched
back from the aluminum pulleys to the steel as his daily driver Corvair
wore the pulleys to the point he could not use them.

Now I use the aluminum pulleys but after two years (4,000 miles) I can
see no wear.  I went to the aluminum as rust would develop on the steel
pulleys between the use of the car.  The rust would then prematurely wear
the fan belt out.   This latter happen twice both times while on trips
before I figured out what was happening.
