I'll replace all those rubber fuel lines and see if that helps.

Has anyone had problems with the strainer in the gas tank getting
clogged and causing this type of problem? I think I cleaned my the gunk
out of my tank about as well as can be done with the tank still on the
car, but its likely some remained. I've probably run about 10 gallons
through the system since I cleaned the tank. I've had no problem until
now.

Thanks for the info on the pump push rods. Has anyone done the swap
that Bryan mentioned?

Does anyone have one of the electric pumps?

Before you replace the pump, have you replaced the fuel hose that
connects the engine hard line to the body line? You should also
replace the one from the tank to the body line, although this one will
usually show fuel if there's a leak. Leaks in these hoses will allow
the pump to suck air instead of fuel.

Regarding the pumps, the push rod is different on '62 and later. I'm
pretty sure you can just swap the later rod onto your engine and use
the late pump.
