Yikes, Ron, I just realized, you have scheduled the meeting for the
precise kickoff time for the World Cup Final. Since my family is in
Ukraine, I have been fully indulging into the World Cup frenzy (comes with
my job to some extent). I will have to hear about the meeting
afterwards, but will give you a call before than to give you my thoughts
and volunteer to do registration with Curt.

One question though, what is wrong with Manassass...seems to be a
sentiment against it as a locale, but it also seems to work....

[NoVa-Corvairs] 2007 Vair Fair Planning Cookout

Members,

I would like to host a cookout for our "Corvair family" on Sunday, July 9
at
1:00. You don't need to bring anything, just an appetite! In addition
to
just relaxing and having a little fun, I'd like to take this opportunity
to
discuss our plans to host the 2007 Vair Fair. We have an above ground
pool
for the kids or adults, so bring swim trunks/suits.

Here are some things to think about:

1. Possible change of venue: I have not been able to find a hotel in
Leesburg with a room rate below $100.00 with adequate conference &
banquet
facilities. Hotels included: Best Western, Holiday Inn, Days Inn and
Comfort Suites.
(Best Western was most anxious to work with us for a price)

2. Getting our web site updated and prepared to support online
registration. Should we do this ourselves or pay a company to design the
site for us and
be done with it?

3. T-shirt design & ordering

4. Ordering event merchandise, plaques, trophies, decals etc.

5. Fair activities: rally, valve cover races, model contest raffles,
games
etc.

6. Food: Catering or crockpots

7. Check in activities

8. Vendors & swap meet

9. Registration processing

10. Car show & judging

11. Tech session & guest speakers/MC

I know I've missed a bunch of stuff here, but this is just to get us
thinking. I hope everyone can make it. The date is flexible if we find
that its
not convenient. Please RSVP by 07 July. Thank you!!!

Ron & Karen Tumolo
