[NoVa-Corvairs] Event suggestions

That's what I thought. Not to worry.
My other car club (Lambda Car Club International, my chapter is Straight Eights-DC Area) does goody bag-type things. One year, I helped my friend who was then president to stuff beach pails with various things. I think some of the more common things we've seen in there includes pens--so you can vote (local member owns a graphic design firm that does your business's name on pens, mugs, etc), magnets (we hold our event in Rehoboth, so touristy stuff like that), car care stuff, CD (the newest trend started by the above-mentioned guy and now carried on by another--collection of oldies and standards and beachy type music), memo pads, and anything that goes with that year's theme. Perhaps we can put rubber spiders in ours....or a can of Raid. ; ) We usually put these things in the envelopes that include the registration details, ballot, dash placard where you can fill out car information, name tags. I've also seen at the Nationals brochures for attractions (perhaps the
Leesburg Outlets if that would interest folks), bars, restaurants and attractions.
I have noticed that pretty much everyone stays put at the Corvair shows, save for the Rallies--and the one boat cruise/dinner in Tidewater some years back.
Incidentally, I have printed off the list of "eqipment" and will look at it later and fill in what I can bring. I do have a 22 cup percolator I will be glad to loan for the event. I'll see what else I may have as well.

Sorry Howard,
Thought about that after I sent it...was very unclear, but I meant the
Friday of the event. I will do registration on Friday from 6 to 9 and we
could do the goody bags at the same time. There are no bags and nothing
to put in them yet....and am not sure who will find things to put in them.
Rumor has it that the last Vair Fair gave away rain hats from a local
funeral parlor....I mean, was that really worth the time to get those and
bag them?
Pamphlets about local attractions probably makes more sense....but people
have the internet to guide them. I have never gotten a corvair event
goody bag...but my kids get goody bags from every birthday party they go
to...think take-home candy and trinkets.

Hi Darrin (and All),
I'll stuff. You don't mean this Friday, do you? Unless you have things
already, but I doubt it.

I don't think I understand. Who would volunteer to supervise the kids if
it meant missing AJ's performance in the big room. Lets be realistic!
Howard - consider yourself signed up to stuff goody bags...maybe on
Friday evening?

I like the idea too. We could do it in the hospitality room. Only
issue is supervision, let's chat about it on Saturday.

Check - "goody" bags. One item we may be able to get donated.
