[NoVa-Corvairs] [Fwd: Your Revised Contract from Laura at R&R Catering!]

Ron,

Thanks for doing this. I am fine with chicken and pork and the $27 price
seems fine to me if we go with a $28/$33 charge as we discussed. If
everybody agrees (and how will we know if that happens) we should go ahead
and finalize right away.

Does this mean we can bring our own drinks into the banquet room and not
have to buy them from the caterer? I am surprised by that....though a
net savings $25-50 total on drinks hardly seems like it is worth the
hassle of arranging for cold drinks ourselves. We will make some cash
back on the beer as well, so maybe it is a wash. We should go with the
two meats, cold drinks and have the additional cost of drinks
included....cost would come in somewhere around $30 and that will likely
be our average registration fee (with the $28 and $33 charges averaging
towards the middle).

By the way, when you deflashed the head on your side of the engine I dont
remember you pulling the spark plug to deflash that big hole next to the
plug. Did you get that material out as well? If not, take a look at the
side I did for an indication of how open it should be (pretty important).

Best,

Darrin

Members,

Please see the attachment below that I just received from the caterer. The
current draft menu comes out to $31.00 per person. If we do what she
suggests, we can bring the cost down to $27.00 per person. In order to do
this we will need to buy our own sodas, water and dessert. We would also
need to go down to a 2 item selection on the meats. In order to get this
price we would have to choose the barbecued pulled pork and chicken
($10.95 per person vice $13.95). Please let me know how you all would like
to proceed.

Ron

>Karen and Ron,
> Thanks for the e-mail, I'm still sick but I dragged myself to work
today so I don't get too behind on work...... I have made the changes that
you requested for your contract. As for cutting the cost down I would
suggest switching to a double selection buffet and perhaps providing your
own non-alcoholic beverages and desserts. Let me know if this is something
you would consider. I am in the office all day so please feel free to
reach me here with any questions. Thanks so much, Laura
