I like your suggestion to eat at nice local restaurant, if one can be found that
will accept a large crowd on a Saturday night. Perhaps the hotel does not
have the capability to handle us either (laid off staff, etc.). Your estimate may
not cut the actual cost plus tips. But if the food is real good, we may enjoy
paying an extra $5 vs eating a poor meal for $25.

I am OK with the two meat choice. Also, we could provide the beverages cheaper and could eliminate the dessert, which I didn't see on the contract The dessert nornally provided is some sort of sherbert, which I personnally don't care for anyway! I think that we could get it down to below or at $25.
The alternative is to find a restaurant close by that could handle about 60 or so and have attendees order off a menu, or else go to a finger food buffet.
