Curt,

The vice grips are gone and so is the fuel line.  I actually spent Saturday afternoon stripping the car completely down.  All that remains to remove is the front bumber, steering box and windshield. At this point it's nothing but a unibody. I can actually lift the car off the jackstands.  At some point, perhaps a Spring meeting, we can carry it into the garage.  Now that's worth calling the Speed channel for!!

Regarding Oren's 63, he actually has a trunk full of spare parts and among the collection was a box of gaskets including an oil pan gasket.  So yes, it was replaced.
