[NoVa-Corvairs] Corvair Prices

And since I am fiscally-conservative and spending money hurts my head, I too think it's too high a price. When I bought Old Blue, I only drove it from the seller's house to the state office Campus (New York State) and drove around the loop and back (if it totaled 4 miles, it was a lot). Sounded like a bad bearing and he insisted "Corvairs are loud." Well it was a bearing but we all know how simple front bearings are to swap out and once done, it was smooth and quiet. And yes, Corvairs can be quiet.
But from the amount of work that is needed, I'd say the price needs to drop substantially.

Great story Curt. Of course when you have some support it's a lot
easier to get going on a neglected project, so who knows on the
pastor's car? I'll chime in that $5,800 is way too high, and even
half that might be too much. I'd certainly suggest a good long (30
or more mile) drive before buying in any case. Good to hear from you!
