Interesting...what exactly is the reason for letting it "sit for 12 to 24 
hrs"?  This would mean days and days of waiting as you reassemble a motor.

Given that we are about to do this very task, I thought I'd forward 
along Ken Hand's note on sealing the top cover.  I'm about to do the 
same on the '66.
