Kristi:

I had a similar problem because the red (pink?) wire in the main wiring harness where it plugs into the engine wiring harness was corroded. Once I wiggled the connector and fixed the problem but eventually I had to splice in a wire to by pass the connectors. This problem is common enough that the COSA tech manual address it.

I really dread what I think the answer is going to be but here goes- my car was running beautifully until Monday traffic- an hour and a half of no more than 5-10 miles per hour- never overheated but when I got to work it just died- no loping, no idling down just died! It was when I came to a stop at the parking lot. When i left work it ran okay just seemed to be bogging down- no pep. It died again in line at my son's school. I was talking to my dad and it seems for something sudden like that to happen that it was either my points or timing. Well, when I took off my dist cap- I could not get the rotor off the shaft!! I pulled and tugged and it would not budge! Short of breaking it is there any other way to get that thing off? Does this sound like I am chasing the right path? By the way, I have a 1966 Monza sedan with a 95 HP and a powerglide! It is bone stock at the mom
