[NoVa-Corvairs] Generator issue

Hi Justin,

When installing a new regulator and generator like this it is important to
polarize both devices....cannot remember which terminals to give power to
to polarize off the top of my head, but if you search corvaircenter.com
you will find instructions. Manual has this too I am sure.

Otherwise your generator may not generate or do so with reversed polarity
from what is needed. Sometimes after sitting a long time the residual
polarity can be lost as well.

Maybe you did this with Ron already, but worth mentioning.

Best,
Darrin

[NoVa-Corvairs] Generator issue

I received the other generator today. Honestly looked worse than the one
that I had. I changed out the voltage regulator Ron gave me. Put
everything back together and even with looking thru the wiring
schematics the generator is not working. The light still remains on. It
was actually off when I switched all the wires back to my old regulator
and restarted the car, but as soon I mounted my old regulator back in its
place the light came back on?

I'm stumped. Greg if you have that good generator at your home I can get?
I'll compensate you here the near future. I'm basically trying to get the
Corvair running so I can move it to clean it, give it an old oil change
and etc.
