Work will prevent me from attending the meeting this Saturday. I suggest the club inspect Dan's front and rear suspension. Maybe check his diff and trans fluid levels and something we have had on the agenda before, how to clean out the rockers. Dan has a badly rusted passenger side rocker and a brief inspection last weekend revealed that the rockers are full of debris. I think we could all benefit from this procedure as the organic material that builds up is a major contributor to rust.

Removed shrouds (thankful that the right heater shroud offered no mysteries), carb studs out, all top six heads nuts cooperated nicely with no stud movement (three broke free with PPB and tightening them a bit before loosening; the other three required the vice grips as well). Should I tightening those back up a bit before removing the lower studs? I thought I read somewhere that that helps take stress off the lower studs when removing them.
